I’m from Bellevue, Washington, where students are ambitious and schools push hard for academic success. But even in that environment, no one ever taught us how to handle money. We could calculate derivatives, but most of us didn’t know how a credit score worked, or how to invest without supporting companies harming the planet.
I first got interested in investing during sophomore year. But the deeper I looked, the more I realized the conversation was missing something important: responsibility and sustainability. It wasn’t just about building wealth early. It was about doing it responsibly: understanding what your money supports, and making choices that align with your values.
I started Literally Finance to fill that gap. Our goal is to help teens build financial skills AND think critically about the impact of their money. We make investing accessible, but also thoughtful. Because the future we're saving for should be one worth living in.
Every teen deserves access to financial knowledge that’s clear, actionable, and free of gatekeeping.
Investing isn’t just about money. It’s about impact. We show you how to grow wealth without compromising your values.
Literally Finance is built by teens, for teens. We know what works because we needed it ourselves.
